Hemsö named Investor of the Year in the nursing home category in Germany

Hemsö was named “Investor of the Year,”at the annual nursing and elderly care trade fair AltenheimExpo 2017 in Germany.

Altenheim Expo is a strategy conference on tomorrow’s elderly care aimed at professional operators in the nursing home segment.

“The award serves as confirmation that our work in the area of nursing homes is on the right track and that we have become an established and respected operator in the area in Germany. We are very keen to become a long-term partner to our tenants. We want to develop our properties together to ensure that they offer attractive environments and functional premises that are pleasant for both staff and residents,” says Jens Nagel, Hemsö’s Head of Region Germany.

The process of naming a winner began by a number of experts in the care market nominating three investors, who according to them are currently financially successful, strategically solid, innovative and forward-looking, and that can be viewed as role models in the segment. During the actual trade fair, participants voted for the winner from among the nominated operators. Hemsö received 72 per cent of the votes. Hemso will use the prize of EUR 5,000 for societal purposes.
