Hemsö acquires two nursing homes in Turku

- Non-regulatory information

Hemsö is acquiring two nursing homes that are under construction in the Turku region of Finland. A 12-year lease agreement has been signed with the care company Esperi Care Oy for both of the nursing homes. The investment amount is SEK 125 million.

The two nursing homes are in two different locations in the expanding Turku region of Finland. One of the nursing homes is located in Turku and has 60 residential places and the second home is in the neighbouring municipality of Kaarina and has 30 residential places. The seller is the development and construction company Hartela.

“We already have a successful collaboration with Hartela, which has now led to these two acquisitions. It is highly positive that we are increasing our presence in growth regions in and near Turku and that we are expanding the Finnish portfolio with two modern nursing homes,” says Jarkko Leinonen, Hemsö’s Head of Asset Management Finland.

The nursing home in Kaarina is scheduled to be completed in November 2018 and the home in Turku in April 2019.
