Property management and project development are the core of our business and form two nationwide departments, with cooperation between regions that creates synergies.

Hemsö also has established operations in Finland and Germany that are managed as independent units.

Property Management is done locally with both our own staff and through external contractors for property maintenance. This enables us to be present and to understand our tenants' needs.

Project Development is responsible for conducting Hemsö's development work through land acquisition and new construction or renovation and extension to meet future needs for public properties.

Strategy & Transaction has overall responsibility for leading the strategic business development work and for identifying and executing transactions in accordance with Hemsö's strategic direction.

Our support functions consist of HR, Communication, Legal and Finance & Accounting.


Hemsö is 85 percent owned by the Third Swedish National Pension Fund and 15 percent by AB Sagax, directly and indirectly.

Board of Directors

The Board consists of six members. Kerstin Hessius holds the role of Chairman of the Board.

CEO and management team

The CEO is responsible for operational management, day-to-day administration and managing the business in accordance with the guidelines, instructions and decisions of the Board. The CEO, Nils Styf, is assisted by a management team.
