Sustainable finance

Hemsö has been issuing bonds under an MTN programme for several years. As part of its sustainability efforts, the company has developed a sustainability bonds framework. The first bond was issued on Friday, 27 May 2016, and was the first sustainability bond issued in the Nordic region.

The framework describes the properties and projects that can be financed with sustainable investments. Hemsö has taken a broader approach by integrating social sustainability as well as environmental and energy aspects into its bonds, which is new for the Nordic region.
