Hemsö signs letter of intent regarding development of Karlslund

Landskronahem, the City of Landskrona and Hemsö will present a joint proposal for development of the Karlslund area in Landskrona, as a possible basis for future planning.

The proposal will include the development of new residential blocks, a public square with opportunities for retail and cultural activities, a new comprehensive school and a new day-care centre. The aim is that Hemsö will own the properties that house community services.

“We are proud and delighted that the City of Landskrona has entrusted Hemsö to take an active role in development of the Karlslund area. An area focused on social, economic and environmental sustainability is highly attractive, and works well with our business model,” says Fredrik Alvarsson, Hemsö’s Head of Project Development.

The goal is to present a new zoning plan for the area in 2018. Development of the area will then commence, subject to approval of the zoning plan.
