Hemsö acquires educational property in Lund

- Non-regulatory information

Hemsö has acquired an educational property in Lund comprising a compulsory school and an upper secondary school. The lettable area is estimated to be approximately 6,500 sqm and the underlying property value amounts to approximately SEK 150 million.

The property is located next to the Faculty of Engineering at Lund University and Ideon, a cluster initiative for innovative companies. The tenants are mainly the English-speaking compulsory school, Lund International School, and the upper secondary school Thorén Innovation School. The remaining lease period is approximately six years.

“The acquisition of the property will strengthen Hemsö’s presence in Lund. We already own a cluster of school properties in the Sankt Larsparken area. Now we are also establishing ourselves in the innovative and international area around the Faculty of Engineering at Lund University,” says Göran Sturesson, Hemsö’s Head of Region South.

Vasakronan is the seller of the property. Hemsö will take possession of the property immediately.
